Founded in 1972 by Kirk Howard, Dundurn Press was named after Hamiltonâs historic Dundurn Castle, located near where Mr. Howard grew up. After more than five decades of bringing Canadian stories to the world, and with over 2,600 titles in print, Dundurn Press is recognized for producing high quality, award-winning books across multiple genres.
Dundurn Press aims to publish contemporary trade fiction and non-fiction, focusing on works that amplify and elevate exceptional Canadian writers and important stories that reflect the world, satisfy curiosity, enlighten, and entertain. Their books will provide a portal into a place not yet known to the reader, where new voices and stories will be discovered.
